Design settings page for a ski shop app

The Task:
Create a design and write the copy for the settings page of a ski shop app.

First off, I set out to create a list of necessary menus for the settings page of a ski shop app. After jotting down a list of options, I rearranged them into main menus and sub-menus as you can see below. After creating the rough user flow, I set out to create the design based on my assumptions and design instincts. After creating this preliminary design, I set out to conduct user research.

Preliminary Design

I conducted user research in order to gather feedback for the design. The following is a summary of the feedback I received from fellow UX Writers and everyday folk:

• Age not necessary to have in the settings for a ski shop app

• Include delivery address and payment method options in account settings

• Shorten and simplify the text further

• Edit icon (pen icon) redundant if clicking anywhere will allow the user to edit the field

• Allow notifications toggle is confusing

• Wishlist in preferences seems confusing and misplaced

• Preferences having a heart icon will create a disconnect; used for favorites and as a like button

I took all of the feedback and used it to improve the initial design 👇🏽
